Dedication

Despite being banned from entering the house due to toxic floor-refinishing fumes, my brave husband sacrificed countless brain cells to get you these photos of the floors in progress. So far they have been stripped and sanded. Staining should begin today.

If you recall, one room had some serious floor ickyness going on, with carpet underpad fused to the floor.

We have chosen the "Dark Walnut" stain from the photo below:


The plan is that the finished product will look like this floor, minus the cat.



The bad news is that the floor work began late, which means that we are now forbidden from entering the house until Saturday, not Friday. With Rob's Dad arriving Thursday night, this means we will be losing a day's work. But, we're pretty sure we can keep him busy with trips to the dump. All this work sure does generate a lot of garbage.
